A Jamaica, Queens institution since 1985 — new home, same promise.

For nearly 40 years, Sneaker Choice was one of the most familiar names in the Jamaica Colosseum Mall, the legendary marketplace at the heart of the neighborhood. It started there in 1985, built by Ricky and his wife — known to regulars simply as “Mommy,” who you’d always find at the register with a warm word for everyone who walked in. Over four decades, the two of them earned this neighborhood’s trust one honest pair at a time.

In early 2025, when Ricky and Mommy were ready to retire, they handed Sneaker Choice to us — three brothers, Ilyas, Rizwan, and Ayaz. We kept everything that made the store special. Then, in February 2026, the Colosseum Mall closed its doors for good — and rather than let a 40-year institution fade away with it, we gave Sneaker Choice a new home just minutes away, in the Unique Bazaar on Guy R Brewer Boulevard. Same store, same standards — a new chapter. And we’ve brought it online, so you can reach us whether you’re around the corner or across the country.
